MJFanvention 2012-celebrazione in onore del compleanno di MJ a Gary e Chicago

(25-6-2012) La città di Gary parteciperà alle celebrazioni in onore del compleanno di Michael Jackson nel fine settimana del 24 agosto - 26.
MJFanvention2012 sarà una festa di tre giorni che partirà da Chicago giungendo a Gary, nel luogo in cui ha sede la casa della famiglia Jackson.
Gli eventi termineranno a Chicago con un ballo in onore della sua festa di compleanno.

"Siamo entusiasti che MJFanvention 2012 abbia coinvolto il Comune di Gary nell'iniziativa", ha detto il sindaco Karen Freeman-Wilson. "Michael Jackson ha fan in tutto il mondo, e tutto è iniziato proprio qui nella sua città natale di Gary, Indiana."

l'evento comincerà sabato alle ore 9.30 presso il Gary City Buffet and Grill, 411 5th Ave. E.. con presentazioni, memorabilia, filmati inediti, e riconoscimenti speciali.
Il biglietto al costo di $ 55 comprende tutte le attività, tra cui il pranzo, una mostra e la posa di mattoni commemorativi, include una serata danzante presso l'Hotel Chicago Loop South a Chicago alle ore 08:00.
Al mattino si alterneranno due ospiti, tra cui Joe Vogel che farnno luce sul talento di Michael e la sua vita.

(25-6-2012) The City of Gary will be part of a celebration in honor of Michael Jackson's birthday during the weekend of August 24 – 26. The MJFanvention2012 will be a three day celebration starting in Chicago and then traveling to Gary, the home of the Jackson family. Later in the evening, the events go back to Chicago for a birthday party dance.

"We are excited that MJFanvention 2012 has included the City of Gary as a destination in its host of activities," said Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson. "Michael Jackson has fans all over the world, and it all started right here in his hometown of Gary, Indiana."

Saturday activities in Gary will begin at 9:30 am at the Gary Steel City Buffet and Grill, 411 E. 5th Ave. Events will include presentations, memorabilia, unseen video footage, and special recognitions. Tickets for all day events is $55 and includes all the activities – including lunch, an exhibit and memorial brick laying, and ending back in Chicago with an evening dance party at the Chicago South Loop Hotel at 8pm. The morning activities will also feature two dynamic guests who will shed light on Michael’s talent and his life. Joe Vogel, author of three books on Michael Jackson, will be one of them.
